On "All Medicines are Produced From the Four elements"

The recognition and understanding on the performance of the medicine are derived from the summarization of many years' practice. Theoretically, it is based on "six tastes, eight functions and seventeen efficiencies", which cannot be separated from the four elements.
It mainly explains in this paper the relationship between medical performance and the four elements and the efficiency of it. Though plants and medicinal herbs follow the same rule while growing and possess the four elements, they have different performances, tastes and efficiencies. The therapeutic methods for different diseases caused by the disharmony of the four elements are also different.
