"Four Medical Classics"
The Four Medical Classics is a Tibetan medical classic, completed
at the end of the eighth century. The book title in Tibetan means
the book consists of four parts, namely the Basics, Exposition and
Argumentation, Secret Formulas, and Supplementary Medical Classics.
Part one: 6 chapters (general knowledge of physiology, pathology,
diagnosis and treatment); part two: 31 chapters (anatomy of the
human body, causes of diseases, health care, medicine properties,
diagnostic methods and treatment principle); part three: 92 chapters
(diagnosis and methods of treatment for clinical diseases); part
four: 28 chapters (diagnostic methods, such as diagnosis by feeling
the pulse and checking the urine, compounding of prescriptions and
their founctions, and external treatment).
