Farmers from Damxung County of North Tibet are promoting the tourism programs of their home - Namco at the Potala Palace Square on April 18. June 13 will be the "Festival of Praying around Namco Lake" which is an important Tibetan Buddhist festival celebrated every twelve years in Tibet. The grand celebration will be held on this day. Tens of thousand Buddhists will pray and chant Sutras and pilgrimage while walking around the holy lake, Nam Co Lake.
The Nam Co Lake covers an area of 1,920 square kilometres at the altitude of 4,718 metres above sea level. It is the highest saltwater lake in the world.
