Tunnel Construction in Tibet for Qinghai-Tibet Railway in Smooth Progress

The Lhasa Headquarters of Qinghai-Tibet Railway announced that the tunnel construction in Tibet for Qinghai-Tibet Railway is in sound progress after the projects started last June.

About 48 per cent of the 1,142-kilometre-long Qinghai-Tibet Railway is within Tibet.

The headquarters noted that so far, the tunnel construction within Tibet have received an investment of 38.31 million yuan, and none of the builders working on the "Roof of the World" with low oxygen content died from work.
