Local Styles
 

In the historical documents Tibet was divided into three natural regions: the upper region, the middle region and the lower region, where the costume varies greatly in style like the natural conditions of vast differences.
In the Front and Rear Regions of Tibet there are some culturally important cities which also enjoy a relatively prosperous economy, the typical being Lhasa and Xigaze. Because of the frequent activities of upper stratum personnel in such places, men's garments there are generally dignified and tasteful while women's dresses are in quiet but elegant style.
