Gilt Copper Statue of Karma-pa Mi-gyu-rdo-rje,Ming Dynasty figural statue,overall height:20 cm,11.5 cm wide

Karma-pa Mi-gyu-rdo-rje(1507-1554)was the eighth Living Buddha of the Black-Hat Sect of the Karma-bkav-brgyud Sect.He was of great learning,and dPav-bo-gtsug-lag-phreng-ba,one of his disciples,was a famous scholar and eminent monk of the Karma-bkav-brgyud Sect.Judged by his costumes,this copper statue is a representative work of the Karma-bkav-brgyud Sect in the Ming Dynasty.The back of the lotus pedestal is carved with Tibetan inscriptions.
