Percussion Instruments Bell and Dorje The handbell and dorje are the principal ritual objects of Tantric Buddhism. Traditionally, they are used together, the bell in the left hand, the dorje in the right. Representing the passive and active qualities which reach perfection only when united, they function as do yin and yang in the Chinese tradition. They also represent the union of wisdom and compassion, which is enlightenment. These bells produce an incredible sound when rubbed with a playing stick or when rung. Traditionally used as ritual objects in Tibetan Buddhism, the bell is held in the left hand and the dorje in the right. They represent passive and active qualities analogous to the yin and yang concepts in Chinese tradition and also the union of wisdom and compassion.
These bells may be used during prayers and meditations! Also believed to vanquisy demons. Consists of 2 parts.
