Zhao Jianwei was born in 1956.His ancestral home was Luoyang, Henan Province. He spent His Childhood in Gaotan of Hexi Corridor, in northwest China's Gansu Province.
As a press photographer of Xinhua News Agency and a member of the China Phtographers Assciation, the Association of China Press Photographers, China Folk Photographers Association and China Artistic Photographing jAssociation, Zhao Jianwei has so far published over 1000 photos,many of which have brought him honors from home and abroad.
His name could be fornd in the "Dictionary of Chinese Photographers". He has participated in the report of the returning of Hong Kong to China, fighting the flood in China in 1998, launching rockets and many other important activities.
