Autonomous Region, through Chusu, Shigatse, Lhaze, Dingri,
Nielamu and Zhungmu, along the Friendship Bridge, ends at
the defense highway of Kathmandu, capital of the Kingdom of
Nepal. It was completed and open to traffic in 1965. It has

invested in construction and reconstruction of the Chusu-Shigagse,
Shigatse Liuzhong section and seven dangerous bridges including
Giting, Sakya and Chushar, and the 304 kilometers line has
been laid with bitumen pavement. Sightseeing can be conducted
along the Sino-Nepal Highway, and the world No 1 summit Mt.

in promoting the friendly visits between Chinese and Nepalese

between the tow countries, spearheading economic and social
development of Tibet, and consolidating frontier defense.
