| About Li Xiaoke L ixiaoke,
was born in 1994 in Jingsu province. As a child, under the influence of his family,
he began to learn drawing. In 1960, he went to the Central Academy of Fine and
Arts to learn drawing. In 1962, he entered the service, six years later , he demobilized
and became a worker at Beijing Internal-combustion engine factory. In 1973, he
began to learn drawing from his father, a famous Chinese landscape painter and
went to study at Beijing Academy of fine Arts. From 1985 to 1987, he studied at
the traditional Chinese painting at the department of the Central Academy of Fine
and Arts , and at the same time, he also took part in the classes of a Japanese
painter to learn Japanese painting. During 1980s, he had ever been to many areas
of western part of China, such as Tibet , Qinghai , the resource of Changjiang
and Huanghe , to sketch . In addition to the influence of his father, he also
pays attention to absorb the outside nutrition through exploring life, and looking
for art languages from his experience . Now, he is a member of Chinese Artists
Association Beijing Branch and Chinese Photographors Association, and the vice
general-secretary of Likeran foundation. His paintings
have been exhibited at many countries such as Japan, Hongkong, Korea, Taiwan,
Canada and America, and Chinese and foreign collectors are eager to collect his
paintings. In April 1993, a photograph exhibition named " the Western tour
of Lixiaoke" was held at the Central Academy of Fine and Arts attracting
more than ten thousand people. The exhibition , later on , for a long time is
a focus of photograph and painting field. In January 1999, another exhibition
was held at Creation gallery established by him, and this art activity was also
greatly welcomed by foreigners. In 1998, he joined
the creation of a large landscape painting called Splendid China, which is used
as a gift to the local government to celebrate the completion of Hongkong new
air station. The chairman Jingzemin , wrote the epigraph and now this great painting
has already displayed at Hongkong new air station and will stay there for ever
to memorize the building of Hongkong new air station. |
