Religious activities are held on different scales every day in temples and monsateries in Tibet. Monks pray and chant Sutras every morning, noon and evening, and their scripture debates are famous. Disciples prostrate themselves on the ground, twirl prayer wheels and participate in festival activites. Every temple of monastery has its own rdgular festivals, the major ones of which include the Grand Summons ceremony held at Jokhang Monsatery, and Sunning the Buddha Festival held at Zhaxi Lhunbo Monastery and Zhaibung Monastery.
